We’re back again, and this time…

We’re hearing from Alan Bradford, a man of many talents, about the recording of his song ‘Peace and Harmony’ with his musical charity Caritas. We’ll hear Holme Valley Parish Council’s recommendations on a new Tesco store in Holmfirth, based on the meeting we heard about last week. Plus, the new website on the block – Dan Hughes is the founder of Slawit.org, and we hear from him what it’s all about. And our usual Valley Round-up exploring what’s on in the valleys.

It’s the audio newspaper for the Two Valleys and it is on every Monday at 6.

Did you make any new year’s resolutions for 2012? What other kinds of resolutions will you have to make?

Our very first Institute of Ideas broadcast will explore the theme of ‘resolution’, as we introduce you to a new group of volunteers eager to share their thoughts and ideas about the places we live.

4 – 5pm – Sunday Roast
Sharon and Ali from Slaithwaite Community Centre explore New Year’s resolutions in Slaithwaite. What did people commit to, and how have they got on since January 1st?

5 – 5.30 – Audio Postcards
Christian and Lisa introduce us to their idea of the ‘Audio Postcard’, snippets of valley life experienced only through the ears.

5.30 – 6.30 – Resolution
Holmfirth Writers Group bring us a programme of poems, short stories and radio dramas, all based around the theme of Resolution.

6.30 – 7.15 – Live from the Print Room
To end the afternoon we’ll have an exlusive live session from band Maia, who formed in Huddersfield and have since been performing all over the country. We invited them back to their roots for an acoustic set, and a bit of a natter.

It’s our first broadcast of 2012 – and the very first Monday Night Clinic in the now weekly series!

We start the programme with the usual Valley Round Up looking not only at the coming weeks but also through to the summer.

Martin Gonzales is the Sports Development Officer for Kirklees Council, we chat to him on the phone about what opportunities are available to people in the Valleys to get involved with the Olympics in your area…

2012 is going to be the best year for Two Valleys Radio, tune in to find out about all the different things going on…

There has been a lot of attention given to the opening of a new supermarket in Holmfirth, so we speak to one of the Parish Councillors about the meeting happening on 10th January at Holmfirth Library where you can have your say about what happens in your village.

Two Valleys: Many Views is back at 6pm this Monday with a Christmas Special! And we have very exciting news about the future of the Clinic…..

We’ll be hearing about Grumpy Mule coffee (made right opposite us at Bolling Coffee in Meltham!) and how the HolmfirthFair Trade Co-op invited them along for some tasty coffee and mince pies.

Our usual Valley Round-Up will keep you updated on happenings around the villages for the next few weeks

We’ll find out how our Live Music Correspondent, Rachel, got on when she was challenged to learn to play the organ in three hours!

Tell Tale Hearts children’s theatre company let us know how their new production of The Snow Queen has been received at the LBT.

Appointment with Adam is a brand new murder mystery play written and performed by members of the Lawrence Batley Theatre community groups. We heard the very beginnings of this piece when we were at Honley High School’s Shakespeare day and the group have been working on it and fleshed it out and have given us the exclusive premiere!
