This broadcast came from the Watershed in Slaithwaite – but what kind of place is it and more importantly, how do you say the name?
What’s there to do? Where’s there to go?
In the first part of the programme Clive spoke with Jean Margetts about the place and visited the Moonraker cafe on the canal. Taru visited the Community Shop as well as the new grocers and baker in the village.
A Philharmonic Orchestra in Slaithwaite? Chris Woodhead explained more with accompaniment (on cello) by Will Robertson. We found out about the Slaithwaite Community Centre and the new bench at the station.
Volunteering was a major theme of the programme and Leah interviewed the Guides District Commissioner and we were visited by two members of the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue team
