Malcolm Smith of Honley Male Voice Choir is helping us to remember why it is important to commemorate those who fell for us in the First World War, and to especially spend some time thinking about those men who left the Holme and Colne valleys to go to war. We have a heartwarming story from Raymond Steel about his experience connecting to a soldier who he never met. Malcolm tells us how it’s going behind the scenes at Honley Male Voice Choir in their preparation for the Christmas Concert. Honley Male Voice Choir’s Christmas Concert will be at Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday 13th December at 7:15pm. There will also be special guests Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Brass Band.
Last month Linda visited Stirley Farm Food Festival to find out about the grand opening of their Cre8 Barn, a super sustainable new building designed and made a reality by Colne valley’s Green Building Store. It’s so sustainable it’s almost like magic…
