Many Views is with you every Monday evening 5-7pm, keeping you informed about what is happening around the Holme and Colne valleys.
For the next month we will be featuring music from the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival throughout our shows, there was so much musical talent there, we can’t afford not to show you!
This week on the show we are celebrating the rich musical culture we are blessed with in these parts! First in the studio we have Barney Stephenson, the very hard working organiser of Marsden Jazz Festival which is taking place this weekend Friday – Sunday. There is so much happening at the festival this weekend, in fact, we will be down there ourselves broadcasting from Marquee on the Bridge. We are getting ahead of the game though by finding out what performances Barney recommends we do not miss!
Some year 10 students from Holmfirth High are getting creative and putting on a fundraising gig this weekend ‘Gig 4 Malawi’ down at the Holmfirth Civic Hall to raise money for the school’s 2015 expedition to Malawi, but why are they going? We are bringing them in to find out for ourselves! The gig takes place this Saturday October 11th at 6pm. Tickets £10, under 16’s £5. The gig will be headlined by Age of Paranoia, and Counterfeit Blondie with support from the Psychedelic Blues Project.
